| Description | |
| The grapes of the Rufina Chianti bask in the summer sun, awaiting the September harvest. The harmonious pattern of vines surrounds La Fattoria di Basciano, dominated by its imposing watchtower of the eleventh century. Once isolated, the main has gathered around it a number of cottages flanked by centuries-old cypress trees. The guest appartments are situated in the buildings adjoining the "torre" - one, the most original, is actually inside the the tower and boasts magnificent views of the Tuscan landscape where woods alternate with hills and vineyards.
The furnishing of the appartments is somewhat battered, but does not detract from the comfortable atmosphere. A picturesque stone wall surrounds the property and testifies to the owners' wish to preserve the historic aspect of the place. The Masi family do not live on site, but make sure that someone is always on call. |
